By accessing or using Legal Intel Platform ("the Platform," "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users, including attorneys, paralegals, administrators, and any other authorized users of a subscribing firm ("Customer").
The Platform provides AI-assisted tools for legal document analysis, including but not limited to document summarization, deposition analysis, medical billing review, demand package generation, case timeline construction, and document comparison. The Platform utilizes third-party artificial intelligence services (including Anthropic's Claude API) to process and analyze documents submitted by users.
All content, summaries, analyses, drafts, and other output generated by the Platform ("AI Output") are provided for informational and drafting-assistance purposes only. AI Output does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for the independent professional judgment of a licensed attorney. Customer is solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, editing, and approving all AI Output before any use, filing, transmission, or reliance upon it in any legal matter.
Customer acknowledges that the use of artificial intelligence tools in the practice of law is subject to applicable rules of professional conduct, including but not limited to duties of competence, confidentiality, and supervision of non-lawyer assistance. Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that its use of the Platform complies with all applicable rules of professional conduct in its jurisdiction, including the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct where applicable.
Customer retains all ownership rights to documents and data uploaded to the Platform ("Customer Data"). When using the cloud-hosted version of the Platform, Customer Data may be transmitted to third-party AI service providers for processing in order to generate AI Output. Customer is responsible for ensuring it has the necessary rights and authorization to submit Customer Data, including any client confidential information, for such processing.
For Customers with heightened confidentiality requirements, the Platform offers a self-hosted deployment option in which Customer Data remains within Customer's own infrastructure, subject to the terms of a separate deployment agreement.
We do not sell Customer Data. We do not use Customer Data to train AI models without explicit written consent.
Customer is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for all activity occurring under its accounts. Customer must promptly notify us of any unauthorized access or security breach. We implement reasonable technical and administrative safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security of any system.
Access to the Platform is provided on a subscription basis according to the pricing tier selected by Customer at the time of signup. Fees are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis unless otherwise agreed in writing. Free trial periods, where offered, will convert to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled prior to the end of the trial period. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as otherwise expressly stated.
Customer agrees not to: (a) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform's source code or infrastructure; (c) use the Platform to process documents containing content that is unlawful, infringing, or that Customer does not have the right to submit; or (d) use the Platform in a manner that could disable, overburden, or impair its operation.
The Platform, including its software, design, branding, and underlying technology, is the property of Legal Intel Platform and its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant Customer any rights to the Platform's underlying technology beyond the limited right to access and use the Service as described herein.
THE PLATFORM AND ALL AI OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE PLATFORM WILL OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LEGAL INTEL PLATFORM, ITS OWNERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO CUSTOMER'S USE OF THE PLATFORM OR RELIANCE ON ANY AI OUTPUT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY CUSTOMER FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Legal Intel Platform and its owners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from Customer's use of the Platform, Customer's violation of these Terms, or Customer's failure to obtain appropriate review and verification of AI Output by a licensed attorney prior to use.
Either party may terminate a subscription in accordance with the cancellation terms applicable to Customer's plan. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform for any Customer that violates these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active Customers. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas.
